Norwest Adds DiGiCo to its Impressive Fleet
Earlier this year, one of Australia's largest Audio Companies, Norwest Productions, took delivery of its first DiGiCo D5-Live Digital Mixing Console. With a team of around thirty, and offices in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, Norwest are experts is supplying production for some of the biggest events in this country, including the Sydney Olympic (and Athens, for that matter) ceremonies, Rugby World Cup, 2006 Commonwealth Games; broadcast audio events including, Australian Idol and X-Factor; concert audio including, Black Eyed Peas and REM, along with dance parties, corporate events, fashion parades and theatre productions.
Norwest Company Director Chris Kennedy (pictured above), who started the business twelve years ago, said the main reason for the purchase was to further enhance Norwest's (already) large investment in digital audio stating, "Norwest have a huge investment in digital audio and already we have the largest inventory of digital products and consoles available in Australia. The D5 was a purchase made essential (especially for concert touring), in order to keep up with numerous requests we have been getting for the DiGiCo brand".
The D5 has been in constant use since coming to Norwest, first up going out with Keith Urban and more recently used in Sydney's Superdome for a huge religious event. "Since acquiring the D5 we have found it has suited many more applications than we first envisaged, we are extremely pleased with the quality of this console and see a great future for the console within Norwest".
